Brother and I were planning to visit the USS Hornet Museum for Memorial Day located in the Bay area, which is today. But I have a 2nd interview tomorrow in Southern California and thought it wouldn’t be a good idea to drive back home, especially with traffic. Instead, we decided to visit the museum two days ago. My journey to the USS Hornet Museum was amazing! I didn’t know a ship could be huge. I saw aircrafts, medical rooms, engine room, guns, uniforms, and survivors. I highly recommend visiting the museum. What’s special about this ship is that it is part of the NASA Apollo 11 recovery and participated in the bombing of Japan during WW II by carrying B-25B Mitchell aircrafts.
Today is a special day for all people who served our country. We must respect each individual for their commitment and paying the ultimate price for volunteering to serve our nation. They are the reason why we have a chance to get an education, find employment, and feel safe in America. Please take your time to thank a veteran and tell them “thank you for your commitment and service.”
