I cried the day my mother told me to give up my first two hearing aids (BTE). They meant the world to me. It was hard to let go of my treasures, but I did, and felt guilty for a while until I received a call that changed my life. The call came from the Salvadorean people I sponsored. It turns out that my mother gave my old hearing aids to one of those people, who’s also hard of hearing. These people blessed me for changing that person’s life and giving that person a better chance to hear. I never knew that giving up something you treasure would bring goodness. I’m glad my mother convinced me and I will continue to make a difference.
